The new Bayern coach had already lifted UEFA Super Cup trophy with Barça in 2009. and 2011. and will try to win third time. In media focus is on two very good managers, but Guardiola said this is not a personal clash. “Once the referee starts the game, the focus will be on the players. The reason we’re here – that’s why kids love football and millions of people around the world will tune in to watch these two marvellous clubs in action. Not the coaches.”

Mourinho, who won with Chelsea two Premier League titles during his first campaign in this club, believes this match can be only advantage: “It’s good for us to play Bayern before the Champions League starts because I don’t want the players to believe they can win the Europa League, then keep playing at the same level and expect to do well in the Champions League,”

Mourinho added: “Last year’s Super Cup finished 4-1 [to Club Atlético de Madrid] so you never know. We can compete against Bayern. Whenever you play, it’s possible to win – and we think we can.”

The match will be played at the Eden Arena in Prague, Czech Republic, on 30 August 2013, and the first to be held away from the Stade Louis II in Monaco since it became a one-legged match in 1998.
